The home season for Australia 2021/22 announced.

In a big announcement today, Cricket Australia has announced its schedule for the prestigious Ashes Test series starting from 8th December 2021 to be played at Gabba, Brisbane. Australia is currently the holder of this prestigious series that they won in 2019 after drawing the series 2-2. Before this series, Australia will take on Afghanistan in a one-off Test match starting from 27th November at Hobart.

It promises to be an exciting series with Australia looking to show their skills after losing to India in the Border- Gavaskar against a weakened Indian line-up that was without Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, and other top players.

On the other hand, England would be looking to improve their performance on Australian soil after being hammered in the last Ashes series played in Australia. Apart from this series, Australia will be playing a series of limited-overs matches against New Zealand, Sri Lanka.

The Australian women would be playing their Ashes series against England comprising of 1 Test, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20Is.
